Moss+Thorn
Moss + Thorn (M+T) speaks to the balance found in all living things—where softness and shelter exist alongside structure and defense. In nature, what heals can also ward off. What calms can also sharpen. The name holds this duality: a reminder that atmosphere is shaped by contrast, and beauty is most resonant when it’s grounded in both edge and ease.
Moss + Thorn is a scent and object studio exploring how essential oils, raw materials, and quiet design can shift a space. Whether through aroma, texture, or tone, each offering is crafted to help a person arrive at a state—grounded, brightened, steadied.
Formulations are minimal and intentional—blends of essential oils that move with the breath, made without synthetic fragrance or unnecessary flourish. They are designed to be experienced instinctively, like weather or memory.
Alongside scent, Moss + Thorn creates functional objects: passive diffusers made from cast stone, preserved moss, or raw granite. These are not gadgets. They are sculptures that carry scent slowly—living on shelves, desks, or windowsills as understated vessels for atmosphere.

Moss + Thorn grew from the materials I was already living with—oils, stone, plants, air. I’ve always turned to natural elements to feel well: teas for breath, steams for clarity, herbs for presence. As a mother, those instincts became a practice—bringing nature into my home in ways that felt honest and sustainable.
But this work is not about fixing. It’s about feeling. Scent is not a solution—it’s an invitation.
As an artist, I see moss, resin, and mineral as mediums. A diffuser can be sculptural. An oil can be atmosphere. A single object can change the way a room holds you. Moss + Thorn is where those instincts meet. It’s not a brand. It’s a field study.
