Moss + Thorn is a scent and object studio exploring how essential oils, raw materials, and quiet design can shift a space. Whether through aroma, texture, or tone, each offering is crafted to help a person arrive at a state—grounded, brightened, steadied.

FUNCTIONAL ART

Each object is made to hold space. Cast in stone, shaped from porous clay, layered with preserved or living moss—these pieces do not perform, they presence. They release scent without power or flame, changing the air through slow diffusion and natural texture. Every vessel is minimal and sculptural, designed to live quietly in a room while drawing the senses inward. These are not tools of convenience, but invitations—to pause, to breathe, to notice the atmosphere becoming something else.

Moss is pressed into gesture. In these hand-built pieces, preserved botanicals are arranged in layered relief—deep green, bloodroot, stone, and branch—held inside a raw wood frame. Composed by hand.

Each candal stem is altered—some cradle rough citrine and preserved moss in quiet composition. Others hold a small, handmade terra-cotta vessel for passive essential oil diffusion.
